Lotusphere 2010 - DomainPatrol Customer Testimonials

"Agria has a long inheritance of several situation-based Notes Domino applications. In addition, the once shaped structures for application development and maintenance had not been followed by the various consultants and developers involved over time. We needed to get back in control! DomainPatrol contributed both as a tool and a place for our governance documentation.
The legacy was in form of early adoption of Notes Domino and consolidations of servers, plus name changes of servers which still haunted us. It was also time for improvement of the security and DomainPatrol assured high quality of all major changes such as code signing, new administration groups and removal of old admin groups. Today we also use DomainPatrol for documenting our databases and system managers accordingly to our management procedures."
Kim Kallonen, Senior Lotus Notes Consultant at Agria

"DomainPatrol is superior! It was a major support when we did a consolidation of our applications, we saved many hours and achieved a well documented inventory of our databases."
Carina Berglind, Lotus Notes/Domino System Administrator Canon Svenska AB

"We came across DomainPatrol when we were planning to merge two domains into one single certificate domain.
We realized that there were lots of checkups and changes that needed to be done and we were looking for a tool that could help. DomainPatrol helped us not only to identify properties that needed change, but also to carry those changes out in batch processes. One major concern was all the old ACL entries that were using wildcards. DomainPatrol really saved the day in the renaming process and all in all saved a huge amount of time. Anyone looking for a good database administration tool should have a look at DomainPatrol. "
Jan Tillas, Domino Technology Lead ITS Operations, Lawson Software

"When we outsourced our Domino infrastructure, the hosting organisation required that we had documented ownership of all databases - they provided us with a Word template for each database to fill in! I can not describe how relieved I was when I realised that DomainPatrol did most of that work for me automatically."
Rose-Marie Ringtorp, Systems Developer Lärarförbundet

"Last year a project was started to move all Group companies under the brand label of Pöyry. The branding project led into the change of the legal name of all Group companies, as well as into many organizational changes.
The effect of the branding project on the Lotus system will be that the existing hierarchy structure has to be moved to reflect the new organizational structure The benefit before even starting the project was the fixing of many hidden problems in no time.
Our initial tests with DomainPatrol showed from the very beginning that the administration server setting in the application DB's were not consistent and needed to be corrected. In a few hours we fixed problems we did not even know we had."

"All of our customers use DomainPatrol as an indispensable tool. We use DomainPatrol on a daily basis to analyze the Notes environments and get the reports we need."
Magnus Stenflo, Head of Consulting Stenflo Konsult

"Before upgrading our Domino environment, management wanted us to make sure that every database and server was thoroughly tested. During the initial planning stage we realized that performing all tests that IBM/Lotus documentation recommended on every database was going to be overwhelming. Instead we used DomainPatrol to create an inventory of all databases and make sure each database had owner responsibilities assigned. Through DomainPatrol the owners of each database were then asked to set the level of testing needed for each database. What we found out was that there were only four critical databases that really needed testing in a separate test environment. It’s needless to say that the inventory feature saved us a huge amount of testing time."
