Installation instructions
- Sign the template.
- Create a database from the template
- Open the database and navigate to "Setup" - "Scanner Licenses"
- Run "Obtain Client based Scanner Demo Licenses Wizard" to download licenses
- Navigate to "Setup" - "Scanner Jobs"
- Run "Client based Scanner Download & Installation Wizard" to install the scanner
- Restart Lotus Notes. Make sure to also exit any running Domino Administrator or Domino Designer clients.
- Open the database and navigate to "Setup" - "Scanner Jobs"
- Create a new Scanner Job and select servers and information to include in the inventory
- Select the Scanner Job and click "Run selected job with Client Scanner"
If the installation doesn't work
If you are located behind a corporate proxy server there might be a problem running the wizards to obtain licenses and install the client scanner. In this case you need to install the scanner manually and request the licenses via email.
Manually Installing the client scanner
You can manually install the client scanner using the second download. "DomainPatrol v4.0 scanner files". Within the zip file there is a readme.txt file that tells you where to copy files and what files to include.
Request licenses via email
Send us an email at info@domainpatrol.org and include a list of the servers that you want demo licenses for. Make sure the list contains the hierarchical names of the servers. We will manually create the demo licenses for you and send them back as soon as possible.
When you receive the license file - open the DomainPatrol database that you create accordingly with the instructions above and navigate to "Setup" - "Scanner Licenses". Now you can import the licenses from the file using the action button "Import license file..:"
